In keeping with the Club’s mission-vision of promoting the hobby of scale modeling in the country, IPMS Philippines Bert Anido conducted an outreach program last summer through a modeling workshop for children, held at the PIA Building in Pasig.

There were about 20 participants between the ages of 6 to 19 (along with their fathers) eager to learn and get started in building a model.  Several members of the Club volunteered to facilitate and provide assistance to the participants.  The kits used were various 1/72 Hobby Boss Easy Build kits.

By the end of the session, all the participants gathered together with their “kuyas” from IPMS Philippines BA proudly showing off their finished models.
Even though their work is not exactly master class, everybody showed great potential in building and given the right guidance and tools, may one day become masters in the hobby.

This outreach program will certainly not be the last.
